With the release of APTmpX v2, WorldCast Systems continues to set new standards for FM broadcasting by addressing the needs of radios transitioning to MPX transport. APTmpX, an award-winning technology delivering high-fidelity, compressed MPX/Composite transport over IP, now includes the integration of RDS transport as synchronized data and as a RDS 57kHz subcarrier.
Previously available only in the 900 kb/s version, this extended RDS feature is now available at the lower bitrates of 300, 400, and 600 kb/s.
APTmpX v2 is progressively being deployed across all WorldCast Systems codecs, starting with APTmpX Software for Windows, designed for seamless integration with leading 3rd party software sound processors, followed by WorldCast’s Virtual APT IP Codec, and hardware codecs including APT IP Codec, APT Silver MPX Encoder/Decoder, APT AoIP Multichannel Codec, and the Ecreso FM AiO Series transmitters. This approach ensures a smooth transition for broadcasters looking to optimize MPX transport over IP while preserving their existing infrastructure.
