WorldCast Systems Wins Two Best of Show Awards at NAB 2018
The Audemat RDS Encoder and APT Mobile SureStreamer, both manufactured by WorldCast Systems, are recipients of the NewBay Best of Show Awards, presented at the 2018 NAB Show by Radio and Radio World.
NewBay’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry.
“It is an honor for us to receive not just one, but two prestigious Best of Show Awards this year. Our team is dedicated to building innovative, high-quality broadcast solutions and we are thrilled about this recognition.” Christophe Poulain, VP Sales and Marketing, WorldCast Systems.
The Audemat RDS Encoder, WorldCast System’s latest innovation in RDS encoding, is designed to meet the needs of its loyal and future customers with high system versatility, ease of use and spectral purity.
Some of the key features that differentiate the Audemat RDS Encoder include its MPX over AES compatibility, RDS 2-ready feature for easy upgrade, advanced communications with an intuitive web interface and SNMP management, and built-in FM Tuner. This new RDS Encoder aligns with the company’s standards of quality and customer-driven innovation.
The APT Mobile Surestreamer, designed by WorldCast Systems’ APT Codec division, is a new 5G-ready solution for remotes and OB’s. It improves the quality and reliability of IP audio remotes to maximize on-air time while delivering pristine, uninterrupted audio directly from the field. The SureStream technology, which set an early precedent delivering flawless audio over affordable public internet links and is now well-established as the technology of choice for professional AoIP STLs, is brought to remote broadcasting with the APT Mobile SureStreamer.
One of its unique features is the incredible speed and simplicity of connection; within seconds broadcasters can be reporting at remote locations, with minimal latency.
“The NewBay Best of Show Awards at NAB are now in their fifth year,” said Paul McLane, NewBay managing director, content. “The program seeks to shine a spotlight on relevant innovations in technology as seen around the million-square-foot exhibit floor of the industry’s top trade show. The list of 2018 winners and nominees gives real insight into where and how rapidly our media tech businesses are evolving.”
